The association also provides resources to help members navigate industry challenges, improve service delivery, and drive meaningful change within their bureaus.
Connecting
A friendly, powerful community.
Joining the Association of Bureau Managers connects you with a supportive, inclusive network of bureau leaders who understand your challenges and share your experiences. Here, you’ll find the insights, guidance, and encouragement you need to develop and grow your bureau business.
We connect regularly—through roundtable meetings across the UK, monthly webinars, and our annual conference. For instant connection, our WhatsApp community offers ad hoc discussions and quick polls.
Each of these forums provides invaluable opportunities to share knowledge, gain insights, and support one another on the challenges and opportunities of bureau management.
As a member, you’ll make more informed decisions on the strategic and tactical choices that drive your bureau’s success.
By being part of the Association of Bureau Managers, you stay in step with the best in the industry. Together, we are building a future where every bureau is empowered to succeed and thrive.
We’re delighted by the feedback from our latest member survey.
ABM is not just about bringing people together. It is about helping payroll bureau leaders make better decisions, strengthen performance and feel less isolated in a sector that caries huge responsibility.
When bureau leaders come together, performance follows.

Membership is paid annually in advance. If you wish to cancel next year’s membership just get in touch at least 1 month before the renewal date.
ABM membership runs for a minimum term of 12 months and renews automatically for a further 12 months unless you tell us otherwise. Renewal notifications are sent around 45 days before your renewal date, and if you don’t wish to renew, you’ll need to let us know in writing within 14 days of that notification. If we don’t hear from you in that window, your membership will renew for another 12-month term, and if you’re paying monthly, those payments will continue for the term.
Once a new or renewed term has started, we’re not able to offer refunds, and cancelling partway through a term doesn’t remove the obligation to pay any outstanding fees for that term.

It’s up to every bureau manager how they deal with sharing information and what they do with information which others have freely shared with them.
The whole atmosphere in our Bureau Managers Roundtable meetings is hugely suppoprtive and collaborative and, on the whole, everyone is keen to share their experiences and ideas. Everyone benefits and, after all, there is plenty of business out there for all of us.
