Jo Salter
spoke about the importance of pushing yourself beyond your comfort zone and challenging your own thinking. Her talk was genuinely uplifting and one that will stay with the delegates for a long time.
She explained how she overcame the obstacles she faced in striving to achieve in a man’s world, often with amusing anecdotes.
Kate Richardson-Walsh
Kate delivered a deeply moving talk on authentic leadership, the value of team feedback and the impact of a strong culture.
She took us through a very personal journey of punishing training, establishing a high performance mentality and responsibility to the team culture. Ultimately, the team won Gold at the Rio Olympics but she reminded us of the part that every member of the group, including the players not selected for the final squad, played an important part in reaching that goal.
Nick Day
Nick shared his perspectives on the challenges of being recognised in the world of payroll and accounting. He gave us his valuable thoughts on leading in the face of fear, exploring how to navigate it and recognising the pivotal moments that define the space between fear and courage.
